The Hull & East Riding
and South Humber Local Research Ethics Committees
(LRECs) are independent bodies organized under the auspices of
the East Riding Health Authority. All research studies undertaken
in the NHS need to be submitted to the LREC for an ethical opinion.
A favourable LREC opinion is required before any research study is
finally approved by an NHS Trust for go ahead.
General advice about completing an LREC submission is available
