The MRC Data and Tissues Tool Kit is now live. It can be accessed from
this link

Modelled on the Clinical Trials Tool Kit, it provides practical advice on implementing statutory and good practice standards for research involving personal information and human tissue samples. It considers the requirements of relevant primary legsialation (including involving adults who cannot give consent for themselves and children) and covers the differences accross the UK.

The deadline for Registration of Intention to Submit an outline application for a Programme Grant for Applied Research in the third funding competition has been extended to Monday 10th September 2007 - the deadline for receipt of outline applications remains Monday 8th October 2007.
