The Functional Food
Centre is an integral part to the HONEI Project strategy,
conducting innovative research and new product development through
commercial investment from local, regional, European and
International partners.

We pride ourselves on
developing and refining food products from inception or
modification and use the clinical expertise to design, set up and
run clinical trials, generating the data required to submit to the
European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for accreditation as
functional foods. These EFSA health claims when substantiated
as a recognised health benefit, add significant value to these
products enabling the manufacturer to place the product in leading
markets at a premium price whilst marking you out as ahead of the
competition.
