Building For a Healthy Future

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals Trust commissioned Gelder and Kitchen Limited to review options outlined in an early copy of the HONEI vision statement and prepare outline plans for potential development between the Brocklehurst Building and the Hull Royal Infirmary.  Further options have also been considered which rationalise the total site and its functions to provide a potential vision for the future assets within the Hospital’s aspirations for the street-scape of Anlaby Road.

Three options were given:

 

Option One

 

Project HONEI Option1

  • Retention of existing Brocklehurst & Neuro-Physiology buildings
  • 2 Storey new build to accommodate the HONEI Project
  • Total area 2,175m2
  • Estimated cost £6,857,000 inc VAT & fees (Excluding equipment)
  • Project duration 74 weeks

 

 

Option Two

 

  • HONEI Project Option2Phased development to minimise disruption to existing services
  • Phase 1 – 2 storey new build to accommodate Bone Densitometry, Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Phase 2 – Demolition of existing Brocklehurst Building
  • Part 1 storey – part 2 storey new build to accommodate Project HONEI
  • Total area 3,380m2
  • Estimated cost £11,380,000 inc VAT & fees (Excluding equipment)
  • Project duration 110 weeks

 

Option Three

 

  • HONEI Project Option 3Phased development to minimise disruption to existing services
  • Phase 1 – Temporary Relocation of Neuro-Physiology & Demolition of Existing Buildings
  • 2 storey new build to accommodate Bone Densitometry, Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Phase 2 – Demolition of existing Brocklehurst Building
  • Part 1 storey – part 2 storey new build to accommodate Project HONEI
  • Total area 4,230m2
  • Estimated cost £14,111,000 inc VAT & fees (Excluding equipment)
