Online learning resources

There are numerous free resources available online that can compliment your teaching of history in the classroom. Here are a few that we recommend:

Learning Curve on The National Archives website is a free online resource for teaching and learning about history. It follows the national curriculum for Key Stages 2-5.

Mylearning is a website for teachers which features contributions of ‘learning journeys’ from Yorkshire’s museums, libraries and archives. It features numerous learning journeys related to the collections at the Hull History Centre including:

The BBC’s History for Kids section of their website has games, activities and teachers notes for all the major time periods covered in the QCA schemes of work.
