information you need online, staff from the University Archives
team are happy to help. We can be contacted by email at

You can also get advice from any of the archives staff at
Hull History Centre during our opening hours.
We can advise on:
- finding primary sources for a dissertation topic from amongst
collections at Hull History Centre
- using national databases and online catalogues to find archives
located
elsewhere
- locating and using other archive offices
If you do find relevant sources at Hull History Centre,
staff on hand to help you by:
- advising on how to read old styles of handwriting
- producing photocopies or digital images of selected documents
(for which there will be a charge)
- advising on how to cite references and on copyright
We are developing internship prgorammes in partnership with
academic departments. One student has added her account of
her experiences to the volunteer Case Studies.
