The other staff areas are situated towards the east end of the building.

First, across the corridor from the conservation studio is the cataloguing room. This provides ample space for sorting, appraising and listing material in a suitable environment for the documents. The main staff offices are next along the corridor - a mixture of open plan, individual offices and meeting areas. The staff room is in the north-east corner of the building.

Between the search room and conservation studio is the holding room, where documents awaiting consultation are stored. If any advance orders are placed, material is brought down to be ready for the reader's arrival, helping to speed up our service to you.
