May 2011
Due to high levels of interest in the recent events commemorating the 70th anniversary of the worst two nights of the blitz on Hull, we have erected a small temporary exhibition at the History Centre.
Staff from the History Centre manned a stand at the remembrance events in Queen Victoria Square on Sunday 8 May. This proved very popular and due to the positive feedbackwe have received, the exhibition will run at the History Centre until June 2011.
There will also be an exhibition on the Blitz created by students from Bishop Burton College which will run from 1-26 July 2011.
For a limited time only, a selection of the images featured in the exhibition are also available as high quality prints for the special price of £1. These include photographs of Hull taken at the time, as well as several wartime posters.
