Latest News:

On Saturday 4 July a Car Seat Clinic will take place in the History Centre car park between 10am and 3pm. The Clinic is delivered by the City Council in partnership with Good Egg Safety. It is an opportunity for parents/carers and grandparents to have their child car seats checked for safety by experts and hear more about in-car child safety from the Good Egg team.

Disruption to services: We are sorry that due to the failure of our lift, retrieval of archives and books from first-floor strong rooms may be disrupted. Material currently has to be brought down stairs by staff. We are therefore unable to retrieve large volumes and boxes. There may also be unavoidable delays in collection times for other material. Because of the technical nature of this problem, it cannot be rectified until Thursday 2 July at the earliest. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.

We are planning some additional History Maker and Minecraft Bring Your Own Device sessions for the summer holidays - see our events page for details.
