Political Ethics
The Political Ethics Programme is intended to bring together
political theorists, empirical political scientists and ethical
theorists. The Programme aims to support research in any area
which has a bearing, broadly construed, on the relation between
politics and ethics. This includes: the ethics of the
military and warfare; the ethics of intervention; dirty hands in
politics; terrorism; rights of minority cultures; international
justice; ethical duties of states and governments towards citizens;
ethics and foreign policy; and the effects of globalisation.
The programme is currently focusing on projects under two main
themes:
- Ethics and Public Policy Making
- War and Military Ethics
