The portal framework will be based on uPortal version 2.6, which will be installed and configured at the University of Hull . The portal will be deployed using Distributed Layout Manager (DLM), controlling the content displayed to the user. DLM provides the flexibility and functionality necessary to aggregate and display content from both YHELLN and individual colleges with the appropriate branding. The portal will be integrated with the YHELLN directory for authentication and for personalisation and DLM will decide content to a user based on profile data held in the YHELLN directory.
