Yorkshire Universities Information skills Group

About The Group

The Group consists of representatives from all Yorkshire universities.
Its aims are to encourage collaboration and co-operation between the
region's HE institutions in the area of information skills teaching and
related materials, and to provide support for practitioners by
encouraging networking and the sharing of good practice.

It seeks to achieve these aims by

• holding Group meetings three or four times a year, institutions taking it in turns to host meetings
• maintaining a Jiscmail discussion list to encourage communication.
• holding larger-scale workshops, usually two a year, on topical themes in information skills teaching
• providing links from this website to institutions' information skills materials on the web
