Information Skills Teaching: writing for VLEs and the
web
Wednesday 26th June 2002 10am – 4pm
Learning Support Services
J.B.Priestley Building
Bradford University
A day of presentations and hands-on for those interested or
involved with preparing information skills material on the web. The
programme draws upon the experience of practitioners in FE and HE
who will describe their experiences and demonstrate their materials
to delegates. Most of the afternoon will be devoted to hands-on
with various materials and a chance to share problems and
experiences with all attending.
The day will look at information skills teaching within the
context of VLEs and the web. There will be both theoretical and
practical sessions. The day has a simple aim for the information
skills practitioners taking part: to help us to do it better!
This will be achieved by:
- encouraging reflective practice
- sharing ideas
- providing a networking opportunity
