Do you want to gain some valuable transferable skills to improve your CV?
Hull University Archives offers 10 week volunteer placements for University of Hull undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The placements are based at Hull History Centre and give participants the chance to work directly with original archival material.
Projects involve making improvements to existing catalogues, listing small collections, repackaging material, digitising material, or undertaking research for engagement activities.
This work requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, self-motivation, and strong independent working, which are highly desirable skills to potential employers.
Opportunities will be advertised on this page, through participating departments, via the University of Hull Careers Service, and on the University Library website. Advertisements provide details of how to apply. You will be asked to complete a short application form and to provide details of your availability. Please make sure you can commit the time before applying. Unfortunately we are not able to accept volunteers outside of this programme.
Please note that, as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, we may have to suspend the volunteer programme for the academic year 2020-21. Please check back regularly for updates or contact us with any questions.
